Star Wars fans, you’ll be forgiven if you haven’t checked out starwars.com lately, especially in light of the fact that the entire nine-disc Star Wars saga released last week on Blu-Ray, sales of which have already topped a staggering $84 million. So if you haven’t been on the site lately, it might be worth a visit, as the online home of the space epic has been completely redone. The once text-heavy site has been replaced with more rich content, including a Star Wars encyclopedia, video teasers, games and the animated Cone Wars series
The complex engineering of the whole Star Wars universe now resides within the pages of a 35 lbs, 15″ x 18″ book. Titled Star Wars: The Blueprints Book, the book brings together over 500 photographs, drafts and illustrations to many of the infrastructure and design that litters the entire franchise. The book includes commentary from J.W. Rinzler, author and editor of many licensed publications from Lucas Licensing.
