Seoul’s Floating Island

The South Korean capital Seoul is now home to the world’s largest artificial floating island, recently opened on the Han river. It is made up of three inter-connected centres for concerts, conventions, exhibitions, water sports and restaurants. The authorities hope the island will become a major attraction for South Koreans and foreign visitors alike.

The public and private-funded project has cost the equivalent of more than 60 million euros and is at the heart of a major river renaissance plan.

1923 Leica 0-Serie Nr.107

A Leica camera from 1923 was sold at auction Saturday,in Vienna, for a world record 1.32 million euros

1923 Leica 0-Serie Nr.107. This is the 7th camera of the Leica 0-series. Only approximately 25 of these cameras were produced to test the market in 1923, 2 years before the commercial introduction of the Leica A. It is the only camera known with “Germany” engraving on the top plate. The factory record indicates delivery to New York for patent applies. This means that this camera is not only one of the major existing rarities, it is also the first Leica being exported

But in my opinion to pay that amount of money on something you’ll never gone use as it was intended, but most likely put in a showcase, it’s just Stupid.

Theatre of Dreams

It was not to be one of those special Man United nights..( Fc Barcelona – Man United 3-1)

It would have been to nice to score another trophy this year after the Premier League title, with which Sir Alex Ferguson kept his promise when he first arrived on Old Trafford ,25 Years ago : The important thing is to beat Liverpool :))) is his own words :  “knock Liverpool off their perch ( by winning their 19 title Man United became the most successful team in English football history)

I wonder what Mourinho will say when he will come to replace Fergie on the Theatre of Dreams

“I can’t believe it. I can’t believe it. Football. Bloody hell.”

Sir Alex Ferguson after the Uefa Champions League Final in 1999, 2-1 in overtime against Bayern Munich :“I can’t believe it. I can’t believe it. Football. Bloody hell.”

Tonight it’s that time again the Manchester United show in finals. :)) Sir Alex Ferguson reached his 4th final, and the two he won, as you remember were full of drama. After the ’99 final with the final minutes drama of Bayern, and the ’08 final, against Chelsea FC ,  when the penalties were to remember, I wonder what they will be able to produce tonight..

So I hope tonight on Wembley we will see a re-edit of the 1968 final when believe it or not Manchester United played against SL Benfica, went to overtime, where they managed to score 3 goals in the first 10 minutes of the first half of overtime :) (4-1 final score, Wembley stadium 1968) Plus and it’s a big Plus, someone must finally defeat Fc Barcelona (secretly Mourinho Fan)

“If I had to nitpick, and obviously I do”

Two videos from Top Gear, added to youtube in may.

The Porsche 911 Turbo and an ageing VW Beetle go head-to-head in an extraordinary one-mile drag race. Richard Hammond in the Porsche must cover the distance on the ground while the Beetle is dropped from a helicopter.

Jeremy Clarkson subjects the Skoda Yeti to a remarkable road test involving a tattooist, fire and a helicopter which just so happened to be circling the Top Gear track
